Elder Law:

Elder Law is an interdisciplinary area of the law that includes estate planning, planning for incapacity, real estate and Medicaid.

Pyle & Dellinger elder law services include the preparation of powers of attorney, living trusts and other documents in order to prevent problems if one loses capacity at some point in the future.  Although it may be hard to imagine losing the capacity to make decisions when one is healthy, planning ahead gives peace of mind and assures that your wishes are carried out.

Elder law services also involve assisting clients in qualifying for Medicaid, which may be necessary to reduce or eliminate the costs of long-term care. Medicaid law varies greatly from state to state, and is constantly changing. Trying to determine whether one qualifies can be a daunting task.  We will patiently walk you through every step of the process.

We also represent families and elders in guardianship proceedings, which is necessary if one has lost mental capacity but has not left a valid power of attorney.
